this piece seems to bring up the question of authorship... something about the nature of the highly pixelated image of the sunset, which appears to be less pixelated than the surrounding mat and frame, makes me wonder where this image was found (and whether or not it was found), whether or not you've distorted it, where the frame was found (if it was), and whether or not the two came as a pair. then there's the text, which is curiously tangent to the bottom edge of the sunset image, the monumental "i" burning through the image, the phallus, the exclamation, the suggestion of the body, the separation of the head from the body, the angelic figure (halo, wings), the form of the cross/crucifixion, and, of course, the question of the frame. there's quite a lot packed in here. (I do hate reducing everything to the same old phallus, cross, etc, but I think they're inescapable associations). I'd be curious to know what your intentions actually were and how you've constructed the image (if you have), though I respect the artist's right to mystery. is this piece solely digital or is there some physical work elsewhere?
