I meant this is as serious work. Sorry that sounds sarcastic but I mean they are pretty interesting, if you ignore that the "intent" is "to make fun of Rumsfeld"...try, as an exercise, reading them seriously as something happening in language (actually).

i meant that comment seriously as well. its unfortunate we (i) no longer make fun of don rumsfeld, or even give a shit. we are (i am) a pathetic bunch of amorphous intellectual malaise.
we think of ourselves (i think of myself) as the forefront, but we're just the membrane of society, inadvertantly letting things in and out, at times noticing, at times not, while the important reactions are catalyzed internally.
we (i) don't care, we (i) effect nothing. we're (i'm) self-involved, placing ourselves (myself) neither inside nor outside, but on the inside of the outside and the outside of the inside.
i suppose it's a vantage point, but what does that afford us (me)? useless knowledge in exchange for working belief.
so thanks for posting this, even though it's from 2003. don rumsfeld is a son of a bitch and he runs our government. he's also a poet and doesn't even know it.

oh my god that was the most increadible thing i've ever read, so fucking important, holy jeusus, if only we had the opportunity to analyze the poetry of everyone in government it would be so revealing. did you read this shit? it's fucking amazing!

The Situation
Things will not be necessarily continuous.
The fact that they are something other than perfectly continuous
Ought not to be characterized as a pause.
There will be some things that people will see.
There will be some things that people won't see.
And life goes on.

it's exactly like he talks! or rather, it's his own parady of how he talks. It's like a john stewart impresson of himself. what the bleeding fuck---"the fact that they are something other than perfectly continous Ought not to be characterized as a pause" This is our press breifing on ontology, this is our newspeak reality, talking in intricate little rediculous circles.
